Antioxidant Antiaging

There is no simple definition of aging. There are biological changes over a period of time. Some people age faster than others. Different parts of our bodies can grow old with a different pace. Aging manifests itself through a decline in the body’s strength and endurance, different body systems efficiency, the body’s ability to repair damage and resist diseases, age characters like gray hair and wrinkles. The cells do not split as effective and the immune system is weakened and hair turns white, the collagen becomes stiffer which both leads to rigid joints and tendons and wrinkly skin. We do not yet know the cause of aging, nor how this reason leads to the bodily changes. Aging is not in itself deadly, but it makes us vulnerable and ultimately so weak that we die. Even if we could eliminate all diseases aging would eventually lead to vital body systems becoming so debilitated that they can not maintain the life process.

Slow Down The Aging Process

A high intake of antioxidant fruit and vegetables really discourages many age diseases and aging. Presumably there is as yet unknown nutrients in food that plays a role. To slow down aging is the next step after you have reduced the risk of diseases and other causes of death.

How Do Antioxidants Stop Aging?

Antioxidants may stop some of our most common diseases that are caused by age. The body’s aging process may simply get an opponent that reduces oxidation of organs and functions. Antioxidants grab a hold of the harmful free radicals, which in the free form threatens to trigger a series of serious illnesses such as cancer, heart disease and alzheimer’s. Free radicals are also one of the reasons why aging people may get wrinkled skin. The body’s natural production of antioxidants decreases with age, making it even more important to fill in with a healthy diet if you want to feel young and healthy.
