A List Of Superfood You WANT To Eat

There is no doubt that broccoli and acai berry contains lots of healthy vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. But what about the food we really want to eat? In fact, both corn and pork are clean superfood according to researchers at St George’s Hospital in London.

Here is their list of superfoods:

Popcorn

According to studies it can both prevent cancer and be good for those who are on a diet.

Most people do not know that popcorn is a whole grain, which reduces the risk of heart disease and cancer and that 30 grams is comparable to a serving of brown rice or whole grain pasta, says Catherine Collins, chief dietician at St George’s Hospital.

Popcorn also contains three times as much fiber as sunflower seeds, which keeps you fuller for longer while your blood sugar level balanced and lowers the bad cholesterol. It even has a dose of vitamin B to boost your energy.

Previous studies have shown that popcorn contains large amounts of polyphenols, antioxidants that are good in the fight against free radicals which are one of the causes of diseases like cancer and heart disease. But avoid seasoning with salt and sugar.

Peanut butter

The delicate butter is one of the richest sources of heart-healthy monounsaturated fatty acids – it does not contain as much saturated fat and are a delicious source of protein to keep you full longer. The yellow color of butter also contain fiber, which is good for the intestines and the folate that can protect against colon cancer and heart disease.

Nuts believed to reduce inflammation in the body and boosts the health of blood vessels around the heart. Researchers at Harvard Medical School in the UK have recently discovered that peanuts five times a week can almost halve the risk of heart attack.

Those who eat peanut butter also eat less after one serving of peanut butter, which makes the importance better.

Baked beans

Classic is a nutritious source of protein, fiber, iron and calcium. Its combination of protein, which also keeps bones and muscles healthy and low GI, which release energy slowly, making you feel full for long.

Pectin, a natural gel medium contained, inter alia, marmalade and jam, is good for constipation and sore throats, according to a study at the Institute of Food Research in the United States. It has also been shown to reduce tumor growth.

Even in citrus marmalade is nutritious and packed with antioxidants that lower cholesterol. There are also 20 times more antioxidants in one gram of jam over a glass of juice.

Although honey has long been considered as much more nutritious than the sweet jam that actually contains marmalade more vitamins and antioxidants from fruits. However, you should select a variety that contains lower levels of sugar.

Potato

Lots of people enjoy snacking on this. Two-thirds of the fat in bacon rind are monounsaturated fats which is good for the heart. 13 percent of the fat comes from stearic acid, a type of saturated fat that does not raise cholesterol levels.

There are also fewer calories compared to many jams, have a lower GI and contains calcium from skimmed milk which is good for healthy bones, says dietitian and physician Sonia Kakar at St George’s Hospital.

The antioxidants in cocoa helps to balance blood pressure and reduces the risk of blood clots. Hazelnuts in Nutellan are excellent source of heart-friendly polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fatty acids. Vitamin E increases the immune system and vitamin B raises the energy level and improves your mood, it is also rich in potassium, calcium and magnesium which is good for your blood pressure.

But since Nutella also contains lots of sugar, you should maybe not eat as much as possible daily.

Cheddar cheese

Cheddar cheese is packed with calcium! It also contains large amounts of other important nutrients such as phosphorus that provide strong teeth and bones, zinc for the skin, a strong immune system and fertility, riboflavin and vitamin B12 for energy and vitamin A for skin and eyes.

A piece of cheese after the meal neutralizes acidity in the mouth and increases saliva production and helps to keep clean of food particles which is good for your teeth.
